Property Description:
Orientation
Our homestay here is located at Paren. The area is divided into smaller clusters such as Lower Paren, New Paren, Upper Paren, etc. Upper Paren is the last group of houses before you enter the forest leading towards Jaldhaka Barrage. This last group of houses in Upper Paren is our Homestay Humro Home Paren. From here the Bindu Dam is just 7 km away. This Homestay is one of the more popular in the area.
Our Homestay is situated at an altitude of about 2,100 feet above mean sea level. This is an ideal altitude where the summer heat of the plains fails to reach and the harsh winter of the hills also does not affect it. This makes the place an ideal tourist destination for the whole year. 3 of the 4 rooms have attached toilets with geysers with hot and cold running water, the rooms are well appointed and furnished. There is a television in all the rooms. There is also a seating area on the back overlooking the greenery, you can have your meals and breakfast over here.
Food and Dining
Most of our guests prefer non-vegetarian food and we offer our guests either fish, egg, or chicken in their meals, for vegetarian guests, veg food is also available.
Location / Accessibility
Our Homestay has the unique advantage of being located just 100 meters from the main market area and on the main road. Paren is a large area divided into different parts such as Phase 6, Lower Paren, New Paren, and Upper Paren. The main Market area is at Upper Paren where our homestay is located.
Bindu Dam is an obvious attraction. The Dam is located about 7 km ahead of our Homestay. Many tourists from the neighboring area come to the Dam for a day visit. It is also a very popular picnic spot and remains crowded during the winter months. The Dalgaon view point about 8 km away, and the Jhalong bazaar and the riverside picnic spots are about 5 km from here.
The entire village was created when the Bindu Dam was built over the river Jaldhaka. After the completion of the dam, part of the village has been abandoned. It is a nice experience to walk around in the village. Just 100 meters from the Homestay is the erstwhile tennis court that once used to be the heart of activity and sports for the locals.
You can also go to the riverbed through Paren Bazar. The Hydroelectric project and its different water reservoirs, canals, and turbines are also interesting places to visit. Though tourists are not allowed inside the project area, you can have a good glimpse of the surrounding from many places.
