From Bagdogra or Siliguri, follow the road to Mongpu via Sevoke. After you cross Mongpu and 3rd Mile, take a right towards 6th Mile and from there, another right to reach Takdah bazaar.

If you are coming from Darjeeling, take a left turn from Jorebunglow towards 6th Mile and then follow the same route as mentioned above. A third way to reach is: From Siliguri or Kalimpong, via Sevoke to Teesta bazaar and then take a left towards Baramungwa, Chota Mungwa, Tinchule, and onwards to Takdah bazaar.

A reserved car from Siliguri or NJP Railway station will cost you around Rs. 3000 – 3500. It depends on your negotiation skills. The prices also vary a lot depending on the seasons.

You can also call your guesthouse/homestay and request them to arrange a pickup for you from Siliguri Bus Stand, NJP Railway Station, or Bagdogra Airport.

Takdah is accessible to different tourist destinations at a radius of 20km, you can drive 15mn to Tinchuley, about 30 min to Mangwa Village, and Darjeeling is 26km. Drive to River Teesta where you can enjoy water sports and can drive to Mangpoo Chinchona plantation. There are many tea gardens nearby and can visit the factories.
