Humro Home Kurseong is a Homestay located near the lower part of Kurseong town. It is about 50 meters from the Eagle's Crag viewpoint of Kurseong and about 25 meters from the Kurseong TV tower.
Humro Home Kurseong is a three-storied building at the end of the road. The host lives on the 1st floor whereas the 2nd floor is used for guest accommodation. There are 4 rooms as well as a seating area and Kitchen in the Homestay. Guests can visit the rooftop which offers a great view of the surrounding hills including the Kanchenjunga range.
There is a large seating area between the rooms and also there is a kitchen and a dining place for the guests.
You may spend some time on the rooftop which offers a great view of the mountain range all around. Almost the entire Kurseong town can be seen from here. The Ambootia tea garden and its labour quarters are also well visible from the rooftop.
You can walk through the tea garden which is almost adjacent to our Homestay here. A 3-minute walk through the tea garden will take you to the Eagle’s Crag viewpoint. The viewpoint provides an amazing view of the plains. Siliguri town and its surrounding area is clearly visible, you can see much beyond including the Balasun river, Bagdogra Airport and even Teesta river from here. The view is especially beautiful at night when the lights of Siliguri city provide a brilliant view to the viewer. The Kurseong rail station of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) is a major attraction of the town. This station is about 600 meters from our Homestay and can be easily reached on foot. Daily a morning train departs from Kurseong for Darjeeling in the Morning. Many of our tourists prefer to avail of this train journey to enjoy the nature and heritage of the hills.
Food and Dining
We offer you Bengali and Nepali cuisine here. Breakfast is mostly Roti or Puri with sabzi. For lunch normally we serve you egg rice and the dinner mostly consists of chicken along with rice or chapatti depending on your preference. Special requirements if any can be served to the best of the host's capacity and availability but only on prior information and confirmation.
Location / Accessibility
Kurseong is one of the popular tourist destinations of Darjeeling hills. There are many attractions in and around the town.
Kurseong Rail Station – The rail station is operational since 1880 when it was first opened, the historical station and its famous toy train attract a lot of tourist interest here. While at the station, do not forget to visit the DHR museum which offers some interesting artifacts to the visitor. Tea Gardens – Kurseong produces some of the best Tea in the world. The famous Makaibari, Castleton, Ambootia and Goomtee tea gardens are all within a 15 to 30-minute drive away from our Homestay. Gidda Pahar – The house where Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose spent time under British Captivity is a museum now and can be reached within 15 minutes drive from our Homestay. Dowhill – This is the topmost part of Kurseong hill. You can visit Deer park here.
Kurseong is very close to the plains, in fact, just about 30 minutes (11 km) drive through the Pankhabari road will bring you down to the plains.

Kurseong can be reached easily by car as it is a little more than an hour's drive from New Jalpaiguri Station or Bagdogra Airport. This makes Kurseong an ideal beginning or ending destination for a tour program in the hills. You can arrive late and yet reach Kurseong on the same day, or if you have an early train or flight to catch, Kurseong is your best bet.
From Kurseong main market, take the small alley next to the rail station and walk for about 600 meters to reach our Homestay.
