Humro Home Rageyroong Trekkers Hut is a homestay started in 2017 by a group of local boys to boost tourism and provide proper hospitality for the tourists and visitors in their region. Our property has two complexes one is a cottage with two deluxe rooms with an attached washroom and a dormitory of 4 beds in the attic with non attached washroom. At the cottage, we also have a fireplace with a sitting area and another one is in the main complex with 3 standard rooms with an attached washroom and a big dining hall with a travel desk.

Rangeyroong basically is a Tea garden village/ Tea Estate. It is one of the oldest and smallest tea gardens in the region. A factory is a unique place of interest in the area which was used to run by hydropower, but it is closed in today's date due to water scarcity and ill maintenance. So, today the tea leaves from the garden are taken for processing to the other tea factory. If you are looking for a place away from the crowded area so Rangaroon is the best destination. Where you can spend the day strolling inside the village, tea garden and forest.

We provide well-cooked sumptuous and hygienic food with organic vegetables grown in the area. We serve both vegeterian and non vegeterian food.
Location / Accessibility
If you are staying in Ranga, you can visit many interesting places in and around the village. A walk through the jungle to "Mata Singha Temple" situated deep inside the forest will take you an hour. You can visit the tea garden and the old factory which used to be run by hydropower closed in today's date. Hike down to Rungdung river with a packed lunch.
If you are interested in adventure sports like rock climbing, rappelling and forest camping we can organise a special programme for you.
Drive to Darjeeling town 16km for further sightseeing. Hike to Dawaipani village through the deep forest. Drive to Tiger Hill for sunrise and sunset. Visit Mongpu chinchona plantaion 16km.

Sumiran Rai is the main host, but along with him the whole trekker hut team of about 6 people runs the place. All are well experienced and involved in the tourism sector. Most of the team members have completed the Himalayan mountaineering training course and are well-experienced in adventure sports.
