This is basic accommodation at Lepchajagat. It is owned and managed by a Sherpa family who also runs a local shop. Like most of the accommodations at Lepchajagat, it is located right on the main road. It is a 5 storied building with 2 floors below the street level and 3 floors above. There are altogether about 11 rooms in the lodge and it can accommodate as many as 40 guests at one time.
The lodge offers decent rooms and hygienic food to budget tourists. There is nothing fancy or luxurious about this accommodation, however, it serves the purpose of night accommodation for guests who are not too fussy about the amenities in a lodge. The owner Pasang and Nuri Sherpa takes care of the guests personally and are helpful. It is a brick-and-mortar building with cement flooring and a roof. Rooms do not have wooden paneling.
This lodge offers 11 rooms in total in all shapes and sizes, there are double rooms, rooms for 4 persons and 5 people as well. All rooms have attached toilets and carpet flooring. The toilets are equipped with a western commode and geyser.
Basic but hygienic food is included in the meal plan. Both veg and non-veg food options are available.
The food is home cooked and has limited options. A typical major meal includes rice/chapatti, vegetables, Dal and chicken or egg curry.

Lepchajagat is a popular off beat tourist destination not far from Darjeeling town. The place is famous for grand view of Mt. Kanchenjunga.

Lepchajagat is about 6 km from Ghoom. The hill station of Ghoom is situated about 11 km ahead of Darjeeling.
The easiest and shortest way to reach Lepchajagat is through this route. The alternative route is to travel through Mirik. If you are traveling from NJP / Bagdogra or Siliguri, you may also come here via Mirik, though the travel time will be slightly higher, you will have the additional bonanza of visiting Mirik and spending some time near its famous lake.
