Gayabari is a village on the Siliguri Darjeeling Hill Cart road. The village revolves around Hill Cart Road, the Toy Train and Tea Garden. Some years back, as the Rohini road was developed connecting the plains with Darjeeling, the importance of the original Hill cart road from Sukna to Kurseong dwindled. The village was once the hub of activity as hundreds of vehicles would pass through it. Presently the village is a tranquil and peaceful abode ideal for people looking for a vacation. The nearby forests are a great spot for birding. Gayabari has recently come up with some homestays. Tourists visiting the area can stay in them.
