About Chuikhim
Chuikhim is a quaint little village located in the Kalimpong district of West Bengal, India. It is a relatively unknown destination and offers a peaceful retreat for travellers. The village is surrounded by lush green forests, and the Teesta River flows nearby, offering a serene and tranquil environment.

You can reach this place from NJP station in about two hours' time (60 Km). At the time of writing this in 2023, a major road construction work is going on that would be passing through Chuikhim. Once the road is ready, NJP to Chuikhim should be about an hour's drive, not taking into consideration the traffic jam and delays in getting out of Siliguri town itself. If you are travelling from Siliguri / NJP, drive towards Dooars till you reach Bagrakot. From Bagrakot take a left turn and drive through forested hills to reach Chuikhim. Chuikhim is an unknown gem in North Bengal that boasts of an adrenaline-filled adventure strewn with Mountain views, Sunrise and Sunset, Trekking, Mountain view, Bird and Butterfly watching, waterfalls, deep jungles, a paradise for Butterfly lovers, and Village Hiking.
Go to the top ridge of Chuikhim village and the entire Dooars plains would be visible to you. On a clear day, you may be able to see as far away as Teesta and Siliguri town. The area is a bird watchers' paradise and this itself can be your reason for spending a few nights at the homestays at chuikhim. Adventure tourism activities here include the recently discovered Yelbong adventure trek which is a river trek through deep canyons.
